CSBP

CSBP is a major manufacturer and supplier of chemicals and fertilisers to the mining, industrial and agricultural sectors.

The chemicals business is a manufacturer and supplier of ammonia, ammonium nitrate, sodium cyanide through AGR, and other industrial chemicals. Its principal markets include the mining, minerals processing and metals refining sectors.

The fertilisers business manufactures and markets fertilisers, primarily for the Western Australian market, servicing the broadacre cropping, livestock, horticulture and dairy sectors.

CSBP has been operating in Western Australia for more than 90 years and has a long and proud history working with local communities.

Australian Vinyls

In September 2007, CSBP acquired Australian Vinyls Corporation (AV). AV is the only manufacturer of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resins in Australia and also imports PVC resin and related products. It also owns Australia’s only manufacturer of wood plastic composites, ModWood, which manufactures products used in decking and fencing.

Queensland Nitrates

CSBP has a 50 per cent interest in QNP, a fully integrated ammonia/ammonium nitrate facility located near Moura in central Queensland.

QNP has a manufacturing capacity of approximately 215,000 tonnes per year of explosive grade ammonium nitrate.

Australian Gold Reagents

AGR is Western Australia’s sole manufacturer of sodium cyanide, which is used in the mining industry for gold extraction.

AGR has been manufacturing and distributing sodium cyanide to the WA gold mining industry for 20 years, and is also a key supplier to international gold mining operations.

AGR is a 75 per cent owned joint venture with Coogee Chemicals.
