Wesfarmers Executive Development Program is an internally coordinated, 7-8 month development program - designed to identify and develop leadership capacity to meet the future management needs of Business Units and the Group. This program commenced in 1996 and has been coordinated annually (dependent on business needs) and includes a strong action learning focus.
Earthwatch is a global environmental not-for-profit organisation which provides the opportunity for thousands of people to assist scientists in over one hundred research projects around the world.
In 1997 Wesfarmers and the Earthwatch Institute formed the Wesfarmers and Earthwatch Institute Employee Fellowship Programme to provide an opportunity for all eligible Wesfarmers employees to apply to participate in one and two week field research projects, and to reinforce Wesfarmers’ commitment to environmental care and sustainable development.
The annual programme is open to all permanent part-time and full-time employees, over 18 years of age who have worked for the Wesfarmers group for at least 12 months by the closing date of applications.
